Actors and Acting

Here at the D'Onofrio RoundTable, our goal is the discussion and critical analysis of the works of Vincent D'Onofrio. Since one cannot separate an artist from his historical context and education, we also seek to broaden our inquiries into his formal acting training. D'Onofrio attended both the American Stanislavsky Theatre and The Actor's Studio, and as such received a grounded education in both aspects of what are commonly referred to as the Stanislavsky Method, and Stanislavsky System, respectively. Recognizing that the Method/System are not the only accepted schools of acting, we will also bring in other contrasting doctrines as well for comparison. Finally, we shall go directly to the source — to hear D'Onofrio's own thoughts on the craft of acting.
